Wheel
track is 1500mm to suit horticultural crops. Chassis height is 350mm
although some crops (ie Lavender) can be cut higher than this. It
has infeed features (ie fingers) to suit individual crops feeding
the crop to a bandsaw. It is available with conveyor widths from
550mm to 1200mm.
The
conveyor feeds the product into vegetable bins or large bags (fadges).
There is room on the machine for one or two people packing product
etc. |

We
are just completing trials on the CT/CTP models and welcome your inquires
with any special requirements. We will endeavour to quote your as soon
as possible.
We
will be developing other options for the harvesters including
- Wheel
Fingers. These are simple bolt on devices which guide the crop past
the tractor wheels. These will be required where row spacing is close
or there is very heavy growth
- Spray
fingers . Separate and shield the crop from weeds so they can be sprayed.
- Removable/
adjustable sickle bar cutting head
Model HH2000P
The herb harvester has been
developed specially for harvesting herbs for oil production. Although
designed initially for Lavender, the harvester and options available for
it, are capable of harvesting a wide range of crops.
Operating Principles
The fingers and tines lift and guide the
flower heads to the cutter bar which can be set to a wide range of heights.
The flower heads are cut at an optimum length. Using the pneumatic vacuum
cleaner principle, the flower heads are sucked/blown up ducting into fadges
mounted at the rear of the harvester.
Raising the3 point linkage above operating
heights will lift the cutter/ pickup head allowing easy turns at head
lands. For moving through gateways and long distance travel the pick up
head location arm is disconnected from the tractor, tubes disconnected
and the head is rotated 180° to behind the implement, and lowered onto
the tray. The harvester can safely be stored in this condition.
Features
- Simple operation. Can be operated by
35 to 50 HP tractors with standard PTO output and 3 point linkage. No
electrics other hydraulics are required.
- Perform a quality harvest, for oil
production purposes.
- Versatile for different crop requirements.
Cuts height is variable from 250mm up to 700mm. The fingers can be adjusted
for row width from mm to mm.
- Capable of pruning operations with
horizontal and up to 45° head angle. Being able to prune as well as
harvest gives better machine utilisation
- Place the crop into bags, trailers
or independent vehicles alongside.
- Easy use fadges holders, full fadge
hooks and spare fadge tray. Easy use fadge holders make it easy to fit
empty fadges and remove full ones. hooks are fitted to the fadge holders
so full fadges can be held outboard of the fadge holders. This allows
up to 4 full fadges to be transported at once. This should allow the
harvester to process full rows and not have to stop part way along.
A tray is provided to neatly store spare fadges. The fadge holders are
removable allowing the tray area to be used for other purposes.
- Good ergonomics with mid mounted cutting
heads. The operator can easily see what is happening at the cutting
head and can steer the tractor to ensure it is aligned with the crops
rows.
- Relatively low cost compared to self
propelled harvesters. You are also getting a pruning and harvesting
machine. If you wish to remove the side arm (4 bolts) you also
have a versatile transport tray.
Options
Wheel Fingers. These are simple bolt on devices which guide the crop past
the tractor wheels. These will be required where row spacing is close
or there is very heavy growth.
Low cutting head. For crops cut below 250mm high.
Special Requirements
For those Farmers who have a special requirement
we can build the equipment for you
Some options are: -
Portable guided trimmers. These will cut the crop in the same way each
time ( great for cooking herbs )
Hydraulic driven cutting head
Conveyor pick up rather than pneumatic.
